Good quality for the excellent price. It had a sort of an odd chemical smell to the fabric which dissipated once hakama were opened and laid out for a while. A durable garment for everyday training or to wear as one becomes accustomed to wearing hakama until one is ready to purchase something custom. Fit well and did not slip or drop with wear.

I know there's better stuff out there, but if you just need some Hakama it's the way to go.

this is a very light weight polyester hakama. it is neatly made, and the sizing was good -- it fit the person it was measured for. the material is very light weight, which makes it not the sort of hakama i would want for myself. however, as a hakama for someone newly promoted to the rank where my students wear hakama, it is suitable, and particularly for a smaller student.

Sakura has most definitely exceeded my expectations when it comes to their service. I have been searching through every kind of martial art store possible for a decent hakama to use for Aikido and Iaido and found this one for more than 1/2 the price for the same kind of hakama. They shipped pretty fast seeing as I was holding a brand new hakama in my hands in only 5 days! I have recommend this to everyone in my dojo starting out. Fellow aikidoka have all have paid over $75 for their hakama. All in all amazing purchase for an amazing price!!!!!
Tip from my sensei though..... leave the white stitches in until you have washed at least once to keep the creases in the hakama better and then remove them. Now i have to iron mine often to keep the folds which are necessary for the proper and respectful folding of the hakama.

I had a Ceremony planned, and the cleaners lost my hakama. ARG! I had 6 days left, and rush ordered this hakama. I opened the box 3 days later to find a superb replacement.
