This spear is very well made. I originally wielded a Shaolin spear which feels slightly different and had a tad bit longer with a longer spear head. I do not know if it is supposed to "jingle" or not (as my previous one did not) but I don't ming that it does. The waxwood on it was in really good condition. When preforming techniques, the waxwood whipped around like it should. During sparring (though I don't know if you really are meant to use it for that) it preformed gracefully. It held up against a much harder weapon and I was able to use the circular blocks without it breaking. It would have received 5 stars if the horsehair would stay in place better, but that is more than likely because I was sparring with it.
