I've owned these chucks for years now and the cord has yet to fray and break, even with frequent practice. I was really impressed with that.
The hardwood octogon sticks are easy to grip and are heavy enough to pack quite a punch. I learned the chucks with these and like the fact that they can be silent, as opposed to the chain chucks.
Overall, a terrific value and one I plan to keep indefinitely.
