These are a smaller version of Jim Crawford's Devil Dart. They're 6 inches which is the standard size bo shuriken length as you can conceal it in your hand. I bought the silver spikes that are similar to the oss sleeve dagger. Silver ones break after two throws to plywood even if it sticks. Black ones are much stronger due to the metal being less impurities or softer. The blade isn't fullered like the silver ones but I highly doubt that makes it stronger on impact or prevents it from breaking. Brittle metal tends to crack because it can not handle the vibration stresses regardless of the metal thickness. I haven't broken any of these. I wish they had a longer length so I do not have to pay $250 for a Jim Crawford devil dart. I like throwing 7"-10" from 18'-31'. I will get better once I start practicing with my cheap 6" gil hibben knock offs but again for no spin throwing it is hard for me to control the balance point on a short spike. I only throw outdoors preferably 21' or greater.
