5 of 5 Best non puka hira shuriken that Sakura has. August 17, 2010

This is the best looking non puka shaped hira shuriken that Sakura has.  The pictures are of low resolution for a reason; to make you buy it before you find out the actual quality.  For me though, the only shuriken worth buying from Sakura are the bo shuriken, and the smallest metal hira shuriken.  The small ones are nice for the cost and can be used to throw at foam targets.  The other shuriken offered here just don't look or feel like their price tag value.  I'd say that all of these non sharpened shuriken should cost 99 cents.  If you REALLY need shuriken to display or throw at targets, the best ones here are the black 2.25" puka hira shuriken.  The chrome versions have heat marks and sport little images of ninjas rather than the advertised yin yang symbol; Heat marks = Blue/purple discoloration from some heat source during manufacturing.

This is a great, little shuriken in my opinion. It fits nicely in your hand and throws well, but it is quite difficult to sharpen on a small stone. If you've got a big stone, don't worry about it, the weapon is good.
